iPhone 15 Pro Max — Spontaneous increase in text size makes phone inoperable

Recently, my wife and I both got iPhone 15 Pro Max phones. Mine works fine, but phone has developed a strange problem. When she is using the phone, scrolling through pages and items, the screen goes into maximum zoom in. The page size is magnified so that only about 1/4 of full screen is visible. And, once the event occurs, one loses the ability to decrease the magnification or even move about on the page. This obvious failure of proper function has occurred twice now. She has handed it to me when it has occurred and it has taken a lot of time and fiddling around to remedy it. The only solution I've found is to maneuver through pages and settings to get to the place where it can be shutdown via pushing the volume and sleep buttons simultaneously. Once here phone has been shutdown and restarted, the screen and text are back to normal and everything works as it should. Have others had this issue. Is this a software bug or a user mistake? Thanks for the advice and help!

Try going to Settings>Accessibility>Accessiblity Shortcut and making sure nothing is checked.

If it should happen again, you can try tapping on the screen with three fingers together or saying, "Hey, Siri, turn off Zoom".
