Phone call 3rd option

When I am making an outbound or have an incoming phone call and I want to sound to play on the speaker of my phone, it is now giving me a third option of “basement” to choose. How do I make this go away?

iPad Listed as a Speaker Option on iPhone Calls Searching the web for solutions revealed that this has been a problem since OS 13. Has anything changed on OS 17? I clicked on at least 5 versions of this question throughout the community, and each had between 600-900 me tos. What I gather is that if I want the option to accept calls on my iPad, switching my iPhone call to speaker requires this convoluted inefficiency. Is there any way to keep the option to accept calls on my iPad AND switch calls on my iPhone with a single button press?

That is your HomePod mini. It’s showing that it’s an available speaker to route your call audio to.

Go to Settings > General > AirPlay and Handoff and confirm the settings are set to your preference.
