16' Macbook pro 2019 crashing constantly and randomly, Cant find the issue why.

So I had Sonoma installed on my 2019 MacBook Pro (i9 w 64gig and 1tb drive, 8 gig gpu) and it started restarting for no reason. It would be sitting idle and I would come back in with it saying it had to restart because there was a problem. it would get hung in a reboot loop for a while and then for no reason start up fine. I would go back to using it with no problem sometimes, and then sometimes it would reboot because I opened a web browser or was watching video that just started... random stuff. I ran etrecheck and it said that a system extension might be the issue and I removed that kext it recommend. Nothing changed. So I thought I should do a clean install of Sonoma and that when the major issues stared. I backed up and deleted the internal drive in the recovery (command r) section, but it wouldn't let me install Sonoma. it did let me install Catalina but from the software update wouldn't let me update to Sonoma. Sometimes it was because it couldn't download and others are because the download was broken and couldn't start. Ive cleared the NVRam and reset the SMC, Ive booted into safe mode and ran First aid. I even ran hardware diagnosis and it came back as everything was fine and working properly. But I'm still getting random restarts and app crashes on the freshly installed CatalinaOS with just the apps that recovery puts on, I haven't restored from my time machine backup because of the issues. What is the issue, is there something else I could try? It started all of the sudden Friday and hasn't stopped yet no matter what I've tried. any help would be appreciated. oh I have not done a revive from dfu because I don't have another Mac to plug this on into. Again any help would be appreciated.

Can you run the user Diagnostic...not as definitive as Apple's own AST2 (Apple Service Toolkit) back bench diagnostic, but may or may not kick out an error code.... even if you have an issue

In or out of warranty you can get a free over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' (AST2 ) test /assessment.

This is different then the more rudimentary front facing customer test— you can ask to escalate the issue...

No error dialog(?)

that new version looks better, and the digest at the end has summaries of two crashes listed. Both are related to iCloud syncing, and the bird daemon that does the heavy lifting for iCloud files. You are using a remarkable about 60 GB of iCloud storage.

But you have NO SIGN of a Time Machine or any other backup system in use.

¿what is the date of your most recent Backup, and by what method?

I had the 15 inch 2019 MacBook Pro with Touch Bar, and it was doing the same thing! Another thing it was doing was when I would turn it on it would show the red low battery icon on the screen. I would connect it to power to charge, then when I restarted it 2 mins later, the Mac would show it had a 35% battery charge. It had the butterfly keyboard, and maybe that might have contributed, however I just upgraded to the M3 Pro 16 inch MacBook Pro, and it totally is worth the upgrade from that 2019 MBP.

I backed up last Friday when the problem started via Time Machine. Then erased the hard drive and started trying to install a fresh copy of Sonoma. The computer still shuts down randomly even after clean install, though it only let me install Catalina. I have yet been able to install a copy of Sonoma. Errors include “an error occurred loading installer/updater” and the computer will reboot for no reason during download from software update. Now software update won’t show me any updates.

So after this latest error (from intent recovery) I cleared the smc and P Ram and rebooted into Catalina. Software update is working again and I am downloading a fresh Sonoma install (the last one said it was damaged) and will attempting to update as soon as it downloads. I’ll post a picture if there is an error.

I have been working on fresh OS installs since Friday evening. On one I tried to test everything hardware related nothing from any app I tried showed a hardware failure/issue. But if there isn’t hardware then shouldn’t a fresh system install have corrected any software issues??? I’m so confused and have never had an issue like this before. Usually a fresh system install clears up any issue. I’m banging my head over here. The random reboots are not duplicatable so I have no way of determining what is causing it. And I’ve never had trouble with software update and OSs not updating.

the os install failed again
