User ID Photo randomly changed

Hi, I was logging to my Mac and on the welcome screen there was some random User ID photo (pinguin).

For years there was my Apple ID photo and that randomness is a bit confusing.

Could it be that my Mac has been compromised?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 14.2

Doubtful the computer is compromised.

There are times when your User ID Picture ( on computer ) may change without any purposeful action on your part

It does not necessary mean the computer is compromised

System Preferences >> and choose your User Account

As you can see in below - I have chosen an Owl

As you can also see in that same image an " Edit " over the Avatar I use

Just Click Edit and choose a different image you use as yours
