APP Store will Not open

Started this discussion earlier, but system would not let me respond. Clicking the App Store icon on MacBook gives error message. “Oops something went wrong. Try again”. I restarted the system and got the same message.

Even though its title implies a different problem, please read If you see "Cannot connect" - Apple Support. Some of those suggestions are more useful than others.


If you are using a VPN, proxy server, or any number of so-called "anti-virus" products, don't. Hopefully that just goes without saying.


If all else fails that brings us to:


If you tried all of the above steps and you still can’t connect, contact Apple Support.
