Double-Arrow Symbol instead of Play Arrow and Pause

Hello....shuffle is off. Any other ideas?

In the upper left-hand corner, in the bluish bar, to the left of NOW PLAYING, I used to see a Play Arrow pointing to the right when playing, and then double-lines when Paused. I am now seeing a double-arrow pointing to the left, like this <<

It is NOT the shuffle symbol.

I know this seems so picky, but I use my iPod to teach music classes, and I use pause a LOT. I like to be able to see the pause lines and the play arrow.

I will try that Restore link, but I cannot find iPod in my Start-Up Menu under Programs...And all are showing.

"Open the iPod Software Updater application. It can be found by clicking on the Start menu, pointing to All Programs (Windows XP) and then point to iPod."

I have figured out how to "Restore." I found the download on the site. The double-arrows are gone!! Must have been a glitch. I am curretnly updating the iPod w/iTunes.
