LOSS OF WORK EMAILS under "mail" feature after an UPDATE

After an UPDATE, I cannot access my Microsoft Online Work Emails in "EMAILS" feature on my ipad and iphone!!! Says contact administrator and they say this has nothing to do with us but APPLE changes. Told me to download an AP. Not convenient at all. HOW CAN THIS BE FIXED???

When I go to login with user name and password, I get the following error.

"Sorry, but we're having trouble signing you in."

AADSTS7000112: Application "f8d98a96-0999-43f5-8af3-69971cbb423' (Apple Internet Accounts) is disabled.

HOW DO I ENABLE THEM???

I do not want to go to a separate ap. I like getting all emails in the MAIL feature - both my icloud account and my work emails.

Please HELP...

You lost your Outlook account a month ago, so you’ve probably fixed the problem. After updating to iOS 17.3.1 on a iPhone 11 Pro, a Comcast email that got hacked and discarded months ago was magically reinstated. The only solution was to delete that (nonexistent) account and reinstall the one that works.

Knowing how to remove and reinstall an email account in Apple Mail is a basic Apple user skill, like knowing how to start up non-iOS devices in Safe Mode.

I updated my MacBook (2021 M1 Pro) to Sonoma 14.3.1 that same day. Apple Mail lost an account password. I logged into that account directly (online) to verify the password. It was OK. As expected, tactic of deleting and reinstalling the account restored everything, except for wasted time.

In the future, l will wait a week between device updates, and examine email setups after each update. Who knows the evil that lurks in the kernels and codes of…?
