how do I change my router setting
I get a message that my Security is weak....WPA is not considered secure. I need to configure my router to use WPA2 (AES) or WPA3 security type. I don't know how to do that.

WPA is indeed very old and no longer considered secure: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points - Apple Support.
Different routers use different ways of changing their settings. If you were to determine its model number, perhaps someone can point you in the right direction.
That will depend on your internet service provider and your router. If your ISP provides an app, you may be able to do it from there. If not or if you can't figure that out, I suggest you contact your ISP for instructions.

You should refer to the documentation (user guide) for your router.
If your router is old, it may or may not support WPA2 or WPA3. If it does support WPA2 or WPA3 you will find instructions in the documentation. If you don't have the doc, you should be able to find & download it from the manufacturer's website. Or there may be a help file in your router (you would need to log into your router to see it.).
If you tell us the exact make & model we may be able to help more directly,.
IF your router is 5 years old or older, you may be a good candidate for replacing it. Is that something you have considered?
