In Hebrew text not aligned to right

To adjust the text alignment for Hebrew (a right-to-left language) on your iPhone running iOS 17.2, you can follow these steps:

1. Settings: Go to your iPhone's Settings.
2. General: Scroll down and tap on "General."
3. Language & Region: Tap on "Language & Region."
4. Preferred Language Order: Tap on "Preferred Language Order."
5. Add Hebrew: Tap on "Add Language" and select Hebrew. Drag Hebrew to the top of the list if it's not already there. This will set Hebrew as the primary language for your device.

I tried adding Arabic and changing the sequence with Hebrew at top then change it back to Hebrew second after English and removed Arabic. It seems to solve the issue for mail and notes but the problem persist in WhasApp and MS TEAMs.

So you see this in Mail, Messages, Notes, Pages, etc.?

I have seen a couple posts about it, also some where it is only Whatsapp with the problem. But I cannot duplicate it on my own phone.

Try adding Arabic to your list of preferred languages and keyboards and see if there is any difference.

Let the people who make those apps know about the problem. They may need to update them to adjust to Apple's recent iOS updates

Thanks for the confirmation that adding Arabic helps. I suspect that users with that language already on their list, like me, will not see a problem in Apple apps.

I share your concern. We have in the family 4 iPhones running iOS 17 , all of them are exhibiting same problem. We prefer to keep English at the top with Hebrew second. Writing text in Hebrew in any app is not aligned text and cursor to the right as expected.

Do you also have this problem on you own iphone, namely when the system language is English and you try to type in Hebrew in Apple apps like Mail, Messages, Notes, or Pages the cursor fails to move to the right edge of the input field? Let us know.

Yes, as mentioned above, the problem is exhibited on 4 iPhones all running 17.1.2 or 17.2 with English defined as preferd language on top Hebrew second.
