Set automatically date and time not working

I had serificate popup issues on office, email, safari unable to access any Pages due to not able to set up htpps.

After googling I saw that it was related to wrong date and time.

My date and time is set to August 8th 2022. Tried to set it manually and everything works fine again.

Swopping it back to automatically sync with Apple time server - and it changes back to august 8th 2022….

also 06:57 when it, even though correct time sone and location is set, is 09:27.

sooo automatically time and date is supposed to work or?

Hmm I got: rm: /var/db/timed/com.apple.timed.plist: No such file or directory

But I´ll manage with manually set time and date. I can use my MacBook so not that critical. Just a bit odd that it just doesn´t work as it should :)

That is unexpected. My first thought was that maybe the path to the file had been mistyped, but it looks absolutely correct, and I checked and I do have the file in that exact location.

The command I suggested should be equivalent to the same, but with the path starting with /private

(as /var is normally just a link to /private/var). You may try this instead, as some others have recommended (again, in theory it should be equivalent, but I think it's worth a try - at worst it may produce the same file not found error).

sudo rm /private/var/db/timed/com.apple.timed.plist
