For some reason I can’t connect to public “guest” wifi in my iPhone 14 Pro. In wifi settings it shows im connected to the network, but the signal bars and 5G or LTE icons don’t switch to a wifi signal meter. I’ve tried turning off some of the iPhone privacy settings in case that was the reason, but it still won’t connect I’ve attached screenshots of two different locations

Sometimes guest networks require you to confirm your sign in on a webpage. Open Safari (or whatever browser you prefer) and see if it takes you to a webpage with an "accept" button or something similar.

I did not say they needed a password, I said you may need to click on the accept button on a webpage they provide.
My apologies. There’s no web page acceptance page. Tye one at my Dr.s office is like that, these two don’t do that.
Please get the router checked by a reputed network engineer. This is not an iPhone issue.
They’re public networks and don’t require a password.
They’re not my routers. They are public wifi. One at a recreation center and the other is a bowling alley.
These networks offer no security. Frankly, it would be foolish to connect to them, even if you could.
I’m well aware of the risks. I always use a VPN for added security after connecting to them.
