Messages notifications no longer consistently showing sender name?

Hi!

Recently, on my iPhone 15 Pro running iOS 17.2 (but also occurred before 17.2 released), Messages notifications will stop showing the sender's name on my Lock Screen, instead just showing the word "Messages." Before, notifications will show the sender's name even when the phone is locked, and then a message preview after unlocked. Now, I can't even see who sent the message.

The other annoying issue with this problem is that, when this happens, Messages will not send notifications when connected to CarPlay.

I can reboot my phone to temporarily "fix" this issue, but it reverts back and I cannot seem to figure out what triggers the reversion and what to do to stop it from doing this. Has anyone else experience this issue before and have a fix?
