Clock: option to turn off RECENT in TIMER for ios 17.1.2

In Clock > Timers > Recent, precious timers are recorded. Is there a way to disable this? 1) when change the timer, open another app, then go back to the timer, the timer reverts to a previous setting; 2) i prefer the not having the app save previous settings since i use i use a variety of times that are more random than static; 3) recent starts taking up too much screen space.
