i do own a lightning to usb adapter but as i remember it was very unreliable and slow

is there an MFI lightning stick out there?

Yes, there are. SanDisk is one manufacturer of them. It relies on a non-Apple iPhone app to backup files from the phone to this stick.

Just be aware that USB/Lightning "sticks" are not highly reliable. I wouldn't recommend using them for file backups, especially if that data is critical to you. If you do want to use them, then have a plan to have them backed up to a more reliable source ... like a HDD or SSD.

I have a lightning to usb adapter but as i recall it not reliable transferring large amount of files.. so 90000 pictures have to be split up in smaller bites like 500/1000 files at a time and remember each time what last file was.

its a hazzle but it can be done.

i have backup on my ipad and now just airdrop daily to ipad.. you need tick some boxes at every transfer to get original file copied. Problem with 90000 pictures is reliable airdrop which should be less than 50 pics at a time which makes 1800 airdrops
