Project grew massively in size!

First, I am a long experienced user. I exported this file which is 720p 25fps rec. 709 and just over 2 hours long. The weird frame rate is due to it being an Adobe Connect recording. I have exported this file once, and using basic settings of Format: Computer, Video Codec: H.264, 1280x 720 reso. the file ended up being 1.62 GB in size, which is about right. That was a month ago. I did some more edits today, which only involved cutting out a few more seconds here and there, and now the export file is 12.25 GB. How could that be? Same settings, I have double checked everything and shut down and relaunced FCP X. I have changed the settings and changed them back. Has this file become corrupted somehow? Thanks!

I appreciate your reply. I have tripled checked. The export settings are exactly as I relayed. Computer Format, H.264, 720p resolution. Same I would always use for a recording from virtual software. I rebooted, trashed preferences, deleted render files and the export file is still 12.25GB. Puzzled. Sure I could compress it, but the export I did on the same project about a month ago using these settings is 1.62GBs. I have done this many times with these kinds of files. 1.62GBs is about right for this. How did it grow? I am positive I am not using ProRes. In my work world I never would. See attached, info for previous file. 1.62GBs. Today it is 12.25 GBs.

I did not say the import file from Adobe Connect used H.264. These virtual programs use extreme compression for recordings as I am sure you know--when set up as enterprise systems the client often asks "make the recordings as small as possible" and they squeeze all they can. I have dealt with this for years. I assure you this file exists in its entirety at 720p 2 hours 13 minutes and is only 1.62GBs. I can send it to you if you suspect the screenshot is faked or I am speaking out of hand. The issue is--I previously used these settings to make create the output file and it is 1.62GBs. Today for some reason it is now 12.25 GBs--same settings. Seems unlikely, which is why I am here on this forum.
