I updated to Sonoma 14.2 and it's telling me I have to update my Apple ID settings (see screenshot). The problem is when I click on the continue button nothing happens and the system settings screen freezes and I have to force quit.
Any ideas on how to fix this problem? I've tried numerous reboots to no avail.
In addition to this problem I can click on my account ID but when I click on iCloud nothing happens.

Recently had this issue as well. Noticed the date of my computer was set to Nov 2023.
If you got into Setting-General-Date/Time you can manually change the date and it will allow the update to finish. It will also bring back usage of the App Store and other features. Hope this helps.

Solved the problem from a similar issue with an earlier version of MacOS...
Went to ~/Library/Keychains, moved the long named folder to the desktop, rebooted the machine, logged back in and I was able to update the ID settings and get into iCloud from Settings.
THIS WORKED GREAT! My date was Aug 19th 2023, set it to the current date and BAM! All was ok!

looks like settings have more problems in 14.2 - first after the update it crashed every time. After I cleaned the cache of macos it starts again, but has no icons in some cases.
Did not worked for me. plus I cant sign off the apple ID and am getting the message I cant log out from find my mac. so nothing works.

I am having the same issue. In addition to that, it seems as if my iCloud folder will not update or is not syncing.

Just bought a Macbook Pro 14" today and my Apple ID and iCloud data got stuck after migrating from my Air. Running Sonoma 14.1 and this workaround worked perfectly. Thank you so much!
Which long named folder? I can't see any folder under ~/Library/Keychains. thanks
