My iPhone keeps switching my location from Jordan to Cairo

Try this solution it worked for me:

Step 1: Go to Settings > General > Date & Time > Switch off set automatically and choose your address manually

Step 2: Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Location Services > Switch off location Services

Step 3: Go back to date and time same steps as Step 1, but turn on set automatically

Step 4: Go back to location services same as Step 2, but turn on location services again

It should work, if it didn’t just keep your Date & Time manually and it should work, hope it will help

I did the reset Location and Privacy fro Settings>General>Reset IPhone> Reset Location and Privacy.

turned OFf the Howard for 30 seconds, turned it back on Na it is still working fine for a few days now (almost a week)! (Fingers crossed!)

I talked to Apple support today and was transferred to a nice Egyptian lady based in Ireland.

explained the issue and that it is unique to IOS since my Android devices do not have this.

The lady insisted that the resolution has to be by removing all VPN apps from my device despite me not using them, as she said these apps play around the location info even if they are not running (I cannot agree with this!), BUT this is an unacceptable solution for me, I want to have the VPN option available always!

She further requested that I also do a complete reset of all settings on my iPhone which is also unacceptable because I have tons of settings predefined and I have some 40 WiFi networks saved and many passwords …etc that I do not know nor wish to try to manually reset!

I did a reset of the Location & Privacy settings in an attempt to solve this issue, and am now trying it out.

I will report back here if it works in a few days. Please do try it out yourselves.

The support lady further asked that I submit a feedback and that you should all do the same so we gather a large number of feedbacks on the subject so Apple can take it seriously and consider it a problem worth investigating.

Turn on the airplane mode and turn it off back again, It worked with me !

My wife has done some investigation and found out why this is happening - there is a lot of GPS jamming happening around Isreal right now due to the war in Gaza.

I have opened a ticket to Apple (via Apple Support App), unfortunately, we had to reproduce the issue to collect logs, and it is very intermittent and not easily reproduced (I have a Profile installed that prevents log collection).

This issue is also affecting my optimized charging, as optimized charging relies on "significant location" data, which showed that I was in Cairo for a few minutes yesterday.

I have reported the community posts, but that hasn't been very helpful, as they request us to open tickets so they can collect logs/related the ticket.

Additionally, I contacted Internet Service Providers in Jordan (Orange and Zain), but that didn't help either.

Me too! How can I fix this? I even reset location from settings and everything.

it just randomly and suddenly changes location to Cairo. When I restarted the phone it put me back into my country but then after hours it changes back to Cairo
