The original Rosetta was a byte-code translator for powerpc to Intel that was part of Snow Leopard 10.6.*. Rosetta 2 was introduced with the Apple Silicon Macs and is a byte-code translator for some X86_64 Intel applications. When you attempt to run an 64-bit Intel application compiled for macOS for the first time, a dialog will appear offering to install Rosetta 2.

Rosetta 2 has nothing to do with Intel compiled device drivers for printers.


Since neither of your mentioned Epson devices are supported by Apple's built-in AirPrint, you are entirely dependent on Epson providing compatible driver support on your current operating system.


Here are the drivers for macOS Monterey:


Artisan 1430

Workforce 7510


You want the current drivers released in Fall 2023. If not macOS Monterey, then use the operating system selector on each site linked above to make that selection for drivers.
