Using a HomePod with a Apple TV 4K

When using a HomePod with a Apple TV 4k, how do you control the volume coming from the HomePod? Can you use the Apple TV remote? And what do you do with the TV speaker?

You can control volume with ATV remote. You need to set HomePod as constant sound source in ATV settings and TV speakers will be disabled.
