Calendar & Mail apps not responding on iMac late 2015 since latest macOS12.7.2 update

Have late 2015 27 iMAC...never had issues prior to Monterey 12.7.2 (latest) installed...now can't use Calendar and have issues going from Mail to Safari.. Is it correct that Chinese language signs appear in Calendar to name week days?

I'm having the same issue regarding Calendar not working on 12.7.2.

I just did a clean install of macOS 12.7.2 on a MacBook Air 11" 2015. When configuring iCloud, for which I rely solely on sync'ing Contacts and Calendar, while Contacts populated and worked correctly, Calendar had the following probems: (1) no events showed; (2) all my iCloud calendars were shown in the left pane were duplicated (and all were checked on, but no events from any of them showed). I also have other Macs running 12.7.1, and Calendar is working normally. The version of Calendar on both 12.7.1 and 12.7.2 is Version 11.0 (2855.6.1). So, this seems to be an issue clearly with the 12.7.2 macOS upgrade rather than Calendar itself. I have paused the installation and thus have not tried Mail. Hoping others will chime in if they see similar problems and that this catches the attention of Apple.

My friend...I followed your instructions..tried Firefox & Brave..definitely there is an issue with Safari (latest version).... And I still experience major issues with CALENDAR where I get the NOT Responding pop up when I enter an event...Is it normal to see chinese characters in the calendar. I don't know what to do anymore..I never experience any problem before the latest update of imacOS and Safari... Is there any way you can access my computer directly to see by yourself what might be the snag? Let me know... I am not a geek so I am totally vulnerable...it is beyond my pay grade... Thank you Marc

Unfortunately the problem persists even after holding SHIFT key at startup. I am really desperate sinc e I received an update from Apple macOS 12é7é2 and Safari 17.2 - I was exalted hoping Apple really fix the bigs...nothing has changed after I installed the Apple updates. The bug remains - whenever I use the mail app and click to have the content of the mail open in Safari..the rainbow wheel keeps turning indefinitely until I get the message from Safari "not responding". It has been like that since the Monterey update 12.7.2... PLEASE HELP ME FIX this permanent issue. Never before that specific update I ever had this issue... My iMAC late 2015 27" 32 meg.

iCloud is not an option for me...I fear leaving any personal data in the cloud ...I do not trust the rhetoric that the cloud is secured. Have been a victim of my personal data being stolen from my bank account. I am from the old school. era. Mind you I feel more secure with an apple product than my PC. I would trust you BDAqua if I give you access remotely to my computer iMAC to help me resolve my current issues. Chances are that you would zero in on the issues if you can access directly the relevant data on my computer. So, excuse my ignorance but is x704.net/bbs a URL or part of an email address? Remember I am not a geek meaning that I am not familiar with computer jargon. Thank you Marc
