To rule out a software issue, set it up as a new device first and test it, before you restore your data from the latest backup.

Before you throw in the towel, you might want to have the phone checked at the Apple Store.....(make an appointment) or at an authorized Apple service shop. You never know.....it might be something that you have never thought about.
