I just got an ipad and i'm wondering if you can send photos from the macBook Pro to the Ipad. I paired both devices together but there is no connection. In the bluetooth menu on the ipad; i push the connect button for the macbook pro on the ipad; it connects for 2 seconds on the macbook pro screen then disconnects immediately. Does any body know whats up?

MacBook Pro & Ipad, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

IPad does not have that profile so yo cannot move files via BT.

If the macbook Pro is the computer you sync the iPad to, you can transfer photos during a sync through iTunes. As the it her poster mentioned, it cannot be accomplished through Bluetooth.

There is another alternative - get a free drop box account, and the dropbox app for your iPad. Any photos you put in the photo folder of dropbox can be added to your iPad from the dropbox app.

If the OP has a MobileMe account, then they can download the iDisk App and do the same thing.

The iPad only has support for bluetooth keyboards and headphones at this time. It will not allow you to transfer files between it and a laptop/desktop.

The way I sent a photo to my iPad was to email the photo to myself, after having set up the mail account on the iPad. I log into my email account on the apple mac, and add the photo as an attachment. And sent the email to one of my ohter email accounts, that I can view on the iPad, then once I opened the email on the iPad, I just saved the image and now it is on the iPad. I hope this helps?
