Can't activate Turbotax 2021 -- dialogue box take license key and is just stuck there

I was trying to setup Turbotax -- the installer was fine, and it checked for updates. All good, but after I entered the license key in the dialogue box, it just sits there. The only button to click on is "cancel" -- no other way to complete the activation. How can I proceed forward

I bought the software from Intuit online.
