I get an error when attempting to add the Chrome install file to my app folder - APP NOT AVAILABLE - This app is currently not available in your country or region.
I am the New Mexico, USA

You need to get Google Chrome from here:
https://www.google.com/chrome/.
Click Download Chrome, then open the downloaded file and drag Chrome to the Applications folder.

I don't see Chrome in the App Store. If you're referring to the download link at
https://www.google.com//chrome/
then you might want try the Support links on that page, or to contact Google.
