Retouching to remove elements from an image

If I have a beautiful photo of a couple on their wedding day and their dog jumps into the frame? Can I easily remove the dog to make it look like he wasn’t there?

There is a paid subscription app in Apple App Store called RetouchAI which seems to do the trick, but would rather be able to do it for free with software already on the phone.

Many thanks!

Photos on the iPhone does not have a retouch tool. There are no brushes to apply any local adjustments at all.

You will need third party apps to retouch an image on the iPhone.

The only thing you could do on your iPhone is to try to use Keynote or Pages to cover up a part of the photo by a second photo (a section cropped from a copy of the the original photo). Then you can superimpose the section on the first photo, where the dog is. or try to mask the photo with a circular or elliptical shape , that will cut out the dog.

Photos for Mac has a retouch tool - if you have a Mac as well, do the retouching on your Mac.
