Apple ID accounts are personal and individual, and shouldn’t be shared. [That being said, a secondary stream of one particular purchased movie wasn’t blocked the last time I tested that, but it does mess with the watch progress.]
The supported way of sharing is through “Family Sharing”. If the Family Sharing organizer activates the option for Purchase Sharing, then even purchases (e.g. buy-movies, but not rented movies) can be shared within this group. Note that Purchase Sharing also sets the organizer as billing account for all purchases of the group through their Apple IDs. It seems intended for a traditional family structure, where purchases can be ‘handled’ within the group. The buyer and the organizer (=paying person) can be different group members. The buyer determines to whose account the purchase is “forever” linked to.
