I can't change the region on my Apple ID and I cancelled my subscriptions already
I moved to Japan and want to change my region for everything to Japan. My phone in general is now set to Japan, but for some reason my app store will not permanently change to Japan.
I will change the region to Japan, sign the terms and conditions, and then it will change to Japan's app store. But as soon as I try to download an app a message pops up with the subhead saying, "Account Not in This Store." And the description follows: Your account is not valid for use in the Japanese store. You much switch to the Canadian store before purchasing.
I thought I must change the region directly on my Apple ID, and so I tried to go to change it, but it says, "Your country or region can’t be changed right now. Learn more(This is the weblink)." I looked through the suggestions and I already have all my subscriptions cancelled, although some are not expired yet.
Is there an alternative way to fix this problem manually?
Because I am in Japan, it is a little bit of a hassle to find an English speaking technical specialist on the phone. But if someone also knows a direct phone number to Japan's Apple English services, please let me know.
