Apple Watch Ultra locks when I wear it over a wetsuit

When I go diving, I wear my Apple Watch over my wetsuit like all other diving watches. The watch then thinks I'm removing it from my wrist and locks itself underwater. That's not really practical when you're trying to dive and of course can't enter the code underwater. Is it possible to deactivate wrist detection for the "Depth" app? Otherwise this function is useless. Thank you Apple.
