Set up Safari as primary web browser. via my Mac

It seems that google is now my primary web browser and I would like to switch back to Safari as my primary web browser on this Mac desktop

computer.

iMac 27″, macOS 10.13

To my knowledge, Google is not a web browser. They have a browser called "Chrome" but installing it requires installing Google on your Mac.


If you did that, and Google Chrome became your Mac's default browser, change it back to Safari by following these instructions:


Change the default web browser or email app on Mac - Apple Support


Be advised doing that does not remove Google from your Mac though. It will continue to affect your Mac until you uninstall it. Merely not using it does not uninstall it or prevent Google from what it's doing, whether or not you continue to use Chrome.
