Apple TV Youtube implementation dosent allow movie purchase (rent/buy) only shows trailers
Why cant I play movies, on a smart TV from the YouTube App on the Apple TV
Note: but it works fine on the smart TV's YouTube App.

When you buy on a different device or on the web with the matching YouTube account, then it will play in the YouTube app on the Apple TV box as well. But YouTube/Google currently chooses to not support in-app purchases on Apple devices (with payment through Apple). It is about the financial transaction process only.
