How to register my AirPods Pro 2?

Just opened box of my new airpods pro 2. How do I register my airpods w/Apple.

You don’t.

AirPods are associated with your Apple ID. Once you pair them, they will appear on your list of devices.

For what purpose?

Warranty coverage starts with the original sale as reported by the retailer.

There is nothing to register.

Thanks. Don’t mean to sound uninformed…..I just purchased my 1st iphone a couple months ago. This is all soo new to me as I’m used to registering every electronic product OUTSIDE the apple world ;)
