Notifications are announced in wrong language

I really like that my AirPods can announce notifications, typically from my iPhone. However, since a little while it does not announce the messages in the language of my iPhone (Dutch) anymore. Rather, it announces the messages in English, which is not great as most of the messages I get are in Dutch.

I think this problem is caused by me switching the language of my MacOS to English (for personal reasons). Is there a way in which Siri can read the messages I get on my iPhone in Dutch again (without switching the language of my Mac to Dutch)?
