my iPad will NOT turn off! ????

I just bought/downloaded the air display app, used it, shut it off, and now the ipad won't shut off. It's not frozen - I can load apps. and I can't do a hard reset either ... !?!?!?!?

HI,

Press and hold the Home button which should Force Quit the app.

the battery is also showing 100%, even though theres no way it can be that

How did you try to reset iPadl? Did you hold the top and home buttons until the apple logo was showing? I've never seen a lockup on an iPad/iPod/iPhone that didn't respond to a reset.

It may be a rogue all, also. Try holding the top button until you see the slide to turn off, then hold the home button to quit an errant app.

Have you tried plugging it into your computer to see if iTunes can help restore it?

Hi. I have the same problem but don't have air display app. I keep pressing the on/off button without result. No way to reset either. And I've tried to reinitialize everything, but without change. An idea anybody?

I have had the same problem since I bought the ipad. When I hold either button or both at the same time nothing happens.

My iPad being still under guarantee, I brought it back to the shop. Guess what, Apple just changed it.... There's probably no way to solve this problem.
