When you open finder and chrome same time and try drag and drop hides finder or chrome new Stage Manager Sonama

When I want to drag and drop from finder ( file manager ) to chrome or other applications new stage manager hides chrome or finder and could not able to drag and drop.I bought macbook for macos features however latest updates makes user experience terrible.MacOs Sonama is big mistake.Simple windows features not designed and implemented.

Why drag and drop not supported?

FWIW, you can have Chrome and the Finder open on the same screen by dragging the thumbnail on the left into the screen. Or you can disable Stage Manager if it's not working for you.

Could you please share your system details? It seems that Apple published this feature to end user env. without completed tests well. On my environment, drag and drop not working.

Please try below.

Open chrome and finder on the same screen.
Try a file from finder to drag and drop to chrome.
Stage manager will hide the chrome.

This is simple use case for operating system but stage manager caused hiding and we are not able to drag and drop.

I am asking why apple is not tested well.

If Apple add this feature to Sonama, why I have to disable. Also I could not drag and drop without disabling stage manager. I have paid more than 2k dollars for macos features but macos sonama does not support fundamental and basic features, please remove or fix stage manager feature.

Sorry you're having problems getting it to work. I can drag files from the Finder to Chrome or any other browser, with or without Stage Manager enabled. Make sure you read the article I posted for you.

This is the first time you have mentioned anything crashing. In any case, perhaps someone else can help. Or if you have an Apple Store nearby you can make a Genius Bar appointment and they can show you how it works.

I have three installs of Sonoma. Two Intel Macs and one Apple silicon Mac. They all work.

macbook m1 chip, MacOs Sonama version 1 and version 2, I have same issues. When I activated stage manager, simple operating system features start to crash.

I cannot open Chrome and finder screen at the same time. When you open one, the other disappears.
