McAfee click to renew a scam?

I am get I notice that says turn on your anti virus, click here to renew McAfee.

I never signed up for McAfee,so this seems suspicious to me

Website pop up saying I’m infected with viruses. The website has McAfee in the corner and says it scanned my iPad and I’m infected and to renew my McAfee subscription, which I never had. The pop up website address is configbaseline.xyz. I’m on an iPad Air.

yes BUT:

You brought this on yourself by allowing web sites to send you notifications, and one of them is doing what you said was OK.
