Apple Watch Ultra 2 Noise on watch face only shows dB levels in the "with AirPods" setting even when I have that setting switched off and AirPods are not in use (in case). How do I get the Noise app to reflect accurately without having to open Noise?

I set the Noise app on the watch to "without AirPods" and the dB reading was higher and more accurate. However when I then go back and look at the watch face widget or whatever it's called, it still shows the lower reading that matches the "with airPods" reading.
