iCloud sync added a bunch of songs I didn't want

I unknowingly did a sync between my Music library and icloud ( I THINK it was library-->update cloud library).

Anyway, now I have a bunch of songs on my computer and iphone that I don't want.

How do I rectify this?

On his MacBook, he has a lot of original music (he's a musician using Logic Pro X where he bounces a bunch of music on his Mac). We recently started paying for Apple Music for the family. Yesterday, he selected the "sync" option on his Mac so that all of his devices could share music and playlists. It appears that all his "local" songs got uploaded to the cloud. Question: He really doesn't want to share any playlists with his local music from his Mac to his iPhone, so he really would prefer not to have that local music in the cloud. Is there a safe way to revert that back? We have plenty of iCloud storage, so I don't think having that in the cloud is a problem, but I would still like an answer to whether it is possible to remove just the local songs that came from his computer from the cloud. Itunes icloud sync post clean up I have ripped a number of CD's and also music purchased and cleaned up or organized using meta tags (apple meta). If I turn on cloud music library, the documentations says: WARNING: After you turn on iCloud Music Library on a device, all the music that’s currently on the device is deleted and replaced with songs from iCloud. Also, you can’t use iTunes to sync music with the device. You can add songs to the device only by downloading them from iCloud. 1) Will this delete ripped music and purchased HD tracks outside of apple itunes? 2) Will this overwrite my organizational work? For example using Album and song info, I have organized (largely classical) by composer instead of conducter.

Hi,

See Delete music in the Apple Music app – Apple Support (UK)

If you opt to delete from your phone, the tracks will remain on you computer but the iCloud status will show as “Remove”. If you want delete permanently, delete from your computer.
