I bought my second HomePod mini and after the 14 days I realized what I passionately hate about it. If I take it to a job site it’s completely useless.

yeah, it requires ac power and wifi with connection to the internet to work
you can sell it and get a bluetooth speaker or
suggest to apple they make something more suitable to your needs using their feedback channel
