Do I have to add cellular service to Ultra 2 watch?
I want to buy the watch but don’t want to add cellular service. Can I purchase watch without adding a cellular plan for it?

You do not need to enable the cellular radio.
It will then behave as it was a GPS only Apple Watch.
As long as your paired iPhone is nearby, it will do everything the same.
Adding cellular for $10 U.S. per month added to your iPhone bill would allow you to leave your iPhone at home when you went for walks, runs, bike rides etc…
