I made a purchase with Apple Pay, it was automatically canceled, the merchant says ApplePay is holding my payment. When should I see this refunded ?

How do I request a refund for unauthorized purchase on Apple Pay? Apple Pay was used to make a purchase from AI apps that I did not agree to and I need to figure out how to set up a refund. I need to speak with a representative. Why is that so hard? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Apple Pay enables transactions between the merchant and your card issuer. Apple Pay does not charge you nor hold funds. If the merchant refunded you, check with your card issuer.
