“move to iOS” app works but will not move everything!

When using this app, only 3 items to select; Contacts, Txt & Calendar.

These will move to your iPhone from Samsung Android.

I was told & I read that you ARE ABLE to move apps & photos & more from Android to iPhone.

Turns out to not be true, according to Apple support, who finally walked me through the process... after I spent days trying & failing to move more than just contacts, Txt & calendar.

To move documents, I created a new folder on my Mac and put all the documents back ups that I wanted to transfer to my iPhone and I found a very convoluted non-intuitive way to move those over to my iPhone using Adobe Acrobat app as an intermediary.

Moving photos from iPhone to mac is a bit easier using Image Capture app on your mac.

IDK about any direct transfer, Android to iPhone, other than what I mentioned above using "move to iOS."

Regarding moving apps… Apparently cannot be done. You just need to find the same or a similar app in the Apple store and download it and start anew.

Bottom line, transferring data from an android phone to an iPhone is neither quick nor easy.
