apple watch swipe down screen is gone .... I tried resetting my watch to no avail. It left after an upgrade.
I really liked the info - battery, expel water, ringer, etc. I'm so bummed!!!!! What the heck did Apple do?????

The swipe up moved to the flat oval side button as a way to bring up the Control Center (see picture)
Use Control Center on Apple Watch - Apple Support
A quick press and release of the flat oval side button will bring up Control Center, and have your battery, water drop, ping iPhone, etc...
DO NOT hold the button, as that will bring up the Emergency Services display.
Settings -> Accessibility -> Side Button Click Speed
will allow you to adjust the timing needed to activate all the flat oval side button features. I like Slow. My Wife likes Slowest. This adjustment is also useful for Apple Pay, as getting the double press and release timing just right can be an issue.
