You basically have a couple of choices, going forward.

• Wait another 24-48 hrs to see if the sanitizer completely dries (you really didn't provide any details on what this product is or its base ingredients are ... most have an alcohol base.) Try gently to remove any visible debris left over. You appear to be doing it properly by not using any sharp (especially metal) implements. Paper should be fine. After that time period, power-on the laptop. Look for any abnormal issues ... like keys sticking or lines on the display. If none occur, you can elect to continue to use this laptop as you normally would.
• Alternately, make a Genius Bar appointment at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to have them examine the laptop and test it for any issues. This service should not cost you anything. Should they uncover an issue, they will let you know and what your next steps are.

You're very welcome! Chances are your laptop is not damaged. The key with any spill, other than removing any liquid, is that if that liquid leaves any conductive residue that makes its way to the system logic board. This can cause electrical shorts and damage some very sensitive components.
