AOP stands for Apple On-Package, which is a critical component of Apple's M1 and later chipsets. When you see this error, it usually indicates a severe issue with the hardware or firmware.

I'd suggest the following steps:

  • Check for Software Updates: Sometimes, firmware or software updates can resolve such issues. Apple just recently released macOS Sonoma 14.2.1.
  • Run the Apple Diagnostics to see if it will uncover anything issues. Ref: Use Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac - Apple Support
  • See if the issue persists. It could be a one-time thing. If it does persist, it's possible that there's a hardware problem. At this point, I would suggest that you contact Apple Support directly for further assistance with this matter.
