Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I’m trying to buy FCP on the App Store, MacBook Air M1, Sonoma.
The purchase process goes through a bank verification step, which I complete in the banking app, the dialogue box on Mac screen goes blank and nothing ever happens. No purchase. Tried different cards from different banks, PayPal not working. Contacted Apple Support multiple times, contacted bank, no one can see what the problem is. Never have I found it so difficult to spend £300!
Oh. My. Goodnessssss! Me too. I've tried adding a new card, can't seem to do that. I've tried restarts, sign-outs, refreshing. I've tried adding Paypal, no dice, that just goes to a blank pop-up page just like the authentication pop up. It's maddening!!! Is it just Final Cut? I don't want to have to buy an app just to test the theory. Please help!!!
hi Frank, I just tried that but it fails when it gets to the telephone details bit. it won't allow me to create a new Apple ID with my number linked to my normal account.
did you have a second phone number to help you use the different Apple ID?

Any joy on this topic. Same happening to me. What’s the answer anyone
I changed my Apple ID to a different one and it worked first time. I spent days trying different things including 4 hours wasted speaking to the so called experts.
Final Cut Pro purchase failing.
