My son was very much looking forward to the new Geometry Dash 2.2 update that came out today. He runs it on Steam through his Mac. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be compatible with his Mac. We tried downloading Bootcamp but this error message came up even though we had downloaded the Windows 64 ISO.
Has anyone been successful with this?

It seems you are using the wrong option from Bootcamp. The target disk is a USB drive not the internal SSD that comes with the Mac.
Bootcamp has two options. First, it is for creating bootable USB (in your case). The second is to install Windows on Mac.
Are you on the latest version of MacOS? I have no problems running Geometry Dash through Steam on its own without Bootcamp or anything despite most 32-bit applications not being compatible with MacOS anymore.
