What should I get rid off? Apparently Malware(ElementaryTypefld)

First, start your Mac in "Safe Mode": How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support. Starting in Safe Mode takes longer than usual so let it finish.


While in that mode, drag all the files in those three folders to the Trash except those with the following in their names:


Adobe

Apple

Canon

Dropbox

Google

Logmein

Zoom


Those are ok. Leave them in place. When you are finished those are the only files that should remain in those folders.


Then, restart your Mac normally and confirm the alert messages cease to appear.


Note: Like all non-Apple "anti-virus" products, "Trusteer Rapport" is worthless. You can see for yourself it did nothing to prevent the problematic "... will damage your computer" message. Uninstall it according to its instructions. Rule 1 of Macs is don't install junk.

Are you running any VPN, Anti-Virus, or Cleaning apps?


We need to see what all is running, a report from this will not display any personal info...
