What is the black with phone in on top of Home Screen? How do I get rid of it?
i can’t shut it down and I’m traveling today!

Force-restart the phone:
- Press and quickly release VOLUME UP
then
- Press and quickly release VOLUME DOWN
then
- Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears (15-30 seconds), ignoring "slide to power off" if it appears
The operative word here is QUICKLY; and try it a couple of times, the timing is a little tricky. If done correctly this will always work unless the phone has a hardware problem.
As my post said, a forced restart using the instructions I posted is GUARANTEED to work unless the phone has a hardware problem. So follow the posted instructions VERY CAREFULLY.
Could not forse a shut down!
had to use settings to shut it down. It’s an IPhone 15 Pro. Has something to due with the use of app. I don’t know why phone was unusable! But the circle was my seat number on a flight!

I have not idea what you are seeing. Can you post a screen shot?
Your iPhone model and iOS version would also be very helpful in diagnosing what you are seeing.
Phone is frozen! Can’t make or receive calls. Can’t message And can’t turn off phone
