Error booting up

My IMac has started taking a long time to boot-up. Sometimes I have to power it off and back on several times before successfully getting to the desktop.

Hey there!

These symptoms typically show when the hard disk is failing. To check, you can use DriveDx. Download the app, then open it, and see what the health is of your hard disk. If possible, it may be best if you could take a screenshot of that information for us to see.

To take a screenshot, this Apple Support article should help.

Better yet, post the complete DriveDx text report here using the "Additional Text" icon which looks like a piece of paper. The text report includes a bit more information and people tend to not screenshot the relevant portions of the DriveDx windows.

What is the exact model of this iMac & version of macOS? You can get this information by clicking the Apple menu and selecting "About This Mac".
