My iPhone SE earlier today fell from my hand, I’d say from waist height (I’m 5’10”) it landed on the corner of the phone and the front cracked like spiderwebs from the home button going up. Is this supposed to be “common”? I didn’t feel as if it were that bad of a fall.

Well, there are stress points on the screen. Landing on the corner places a great deal of stress. Had the iPhone fallen flat, perhaps the damage would have less severe.

I forgot to mention that it has a case and was dropped on the basketball court. Still so strange! My applecare just expired, I forgot to renew it… I’m considering upgrading to a better phone. iPhone 14 or 15
